PW50 Two stroke Oil pump , 2 stroke
PLEASE NOTE THIS ITEM HAS BEEN TESTED, PLEASE BLEED ITEM CORRECTLY, PLEASE BE PATIENT IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME
Step 1: Bleed the oil pump
- Fill the oil tank: Ensure the oil tank is completely full.
- Locate the bleeder screw: Find the small bleeder screw on the oil pump. It may have a gasket behind it that should be preserved.
- Position a rag: Place a rag or a pan under the bleeder screw to catch any dripping oil.
- Open the bleeder screw: Loosen the screw about a quarter to a half turn. You should immediately see or hear air escaping. It is crucial not to remove the screw completely, as the oil can come out under high pressure.
- Wait for a solid stream: Watch for the air bubbles to stop and for a steady, continuous stream of clear oil to emerge. This may take a minute or two.
- Tighten the screw: Once the oil flows without bubbles, tighten the bleeder screw until it is snug. Be careful not to overtighten it.
Step 2: Prime the oil lines
- Mix fuel: Prepare a 40:1 premix fuel and oil to use in case the oil injection system needs a backup.
- Start the engine: Start the engine and let it idle. The oil pump linkage should automatically operate with the throttle,
- Run on premix: If the oil lines still appear dry, run the engine on the premixed fuel. This will provide lubrication while the pump primes.
- Alternative method for severe cases: If the oil lines are completely dry, you can remove the oil line from the carburetor, place the end in a container, and then disconnect the throttle linkage from the oil pump. Hold the oil pump linkage in the wide-open position (which will make the pump pump at its maximum rate) while the engine runs on premix to force the oil through the lines.
- Reinstall the line: Once a solid stream of oil is flowing through the line, reattach it to the carburetor.
- Monitor: Keep an eye on the oil level in the tank and monitor the bike’s performance for a few minutes to ensure it is running smoothly.
